Class of Ammeter

Replenishing stock in the workshop and I have a couple of reasonable sources that have 50uA/100uA class 1.5 and class 2.5 the former being a bit more
expensive. (£4.78 as opposed to £4.18)

My understanding is that class relates to parts per 100 (%) in any
possible 'error', not saying that there is one just they are not rated
to better than that.

Given in practice the meters are only 2.5"/60mm so it would be difficult
to see this difference in practice and the zero on the scales might be
slightly high or low not sure it matters that much.
