Good luck with your build. This kit build so far has been really simple and the yahoo group docs from Dan N7VE make the build very simple to follow. Just watch out for the resistor values and recheck values before soldering. Use a good light to read the bands or a meter to measure the values.

The separation of 10 0.1uF caps from those sent was pretty easy but bit tedious.

I have gotten to the 12V test. The photos have the actual date/time on them. I started at 18:20 and reached that point at 20:49 and that included time for some food in the middle. So maybe just 90 minutes taken so far.

No fancy kit used just a soldering iron with a fine tip and a DVM to measure the caps.

I'll complete the rest after next weekend.

I was thinking about adding the K1 to my collection of Elecraft rigs. Do post more pic's as the build moves forward.
