Found some old photos of when I was /P in North Wales.
It was cold and very windy. The wind at the /P site was coming right over the wall and had to weigh the tripod down wityh everything in the rucksack and a couple stones from the wall (that I put back after)
Other than a trip which might get the odd mention I will detail projects I am working on, what I want to be working on and what I have otherwise to report on. I will update the individual projects as they advance. As asked I have started to catalogue the references I have follow the link on the left where you can obtain them too. Want to email me wander over to qrz.com and you'll find my email address there. Also twitter @m1kta_qrp

Chess by radio
Posted on G-QRP club looking to see if anyone interested in playing chess by radio during the G-QRP Winter Contest.... had a few odd replies and couple off list emails and looks like might be some interesting radio this Xmas.
The idea is not new...
Haverford College on the east coast of the USA was home to some of the earliest college radio experiments, including inter-continental chess matches and quizzes in the 1920s and 1940s. In December 1924, Haverford College and Oxford University had the first international chess match by amateur radio. In 1926, they again held a chess match by radio, this time with students from the University of Paris.
